Background: HIV/AIDS prevention and management requires a multi-pronged approach, including clinical and public health interventions. Findings: An optimal package of interventions should include information campaigns, safe male circumcision, voluntary HIV testing and counseling, STI control, ART, TB-HIV co-infection treatment, nutritional and psychosocial support, and palliative care. Conclusion: An optimal package requires a comprehensive, multi-faceted approach that includes both prevention and treatment strategies, along with robust support systems.
